After agreement on location, shape and size the pool is marked our for client approval. The pool is then excavated and the soil removed or set aside for landscaping.
Where Do We Start?
Your home and grounds are the starting point for Tanby. Every site is unique, just like you. Before we quote for a new pool, Tanby must survey the site and talk to you to determine your exact needs. Then we will provide a firm quotation, without any obligation. It is based not only on the type of pool you would like, but also on the location of the pool within the grounds of your home, and the landscaping to ensure that it enhances its setting.
The formwork is set, reinforced steel and pool fittings fixed and the pipework is run clear of the shell.
Methods Of Construction
Tanby use the sprayed concrete type of pool construction. The Gunite or Shotcrete process offers maximum versatility in applying concrete, allowing almost free expression with regard to shape, size and depth. Using this process, we can create a bespoke pool in any shape to your exact specifications.
Concrete is sprayed onto the reinforced steel to form the shell and any steps are handbuilt.
After curing, the completed shell is ready for internal surface finishing and paving.
Mosaic tiles are used as the internal finish on this pool, however there is a range of decorative finishes to choose from including natural stone and marble. The coping stones are applied and filtration and heating equipment installed.
Additional Construction
We can provide a full service incorporating conservatory structures, timber buildings or conventional buildings to suit your requirements. Imagine a whole new wing to your house, with a indoor pool for year-round use! We also construct pool house buildings, providing a pleasing hideaway for all your pool components and accessories such as the boiler and chemicals. Alternatively, we would be pleased to undertake the pool only and work in close conjunction with your selected builder.
Completion
On completion of construction we clean and make good surrounding areas and fill the pool and instruct you on the care and maintenance. Your pool will have immediate impact and give you pleasure for many years to come. If you so wish, we can provide a maintenance service that let's you maximise your enjoyment of the pool, with the minimum of effort.
